All the earth

God wanted me to think

and wonder.

He made the squirrels to eat the acorns

and plant them

so new trees would grow.

He made the octopus

to curl and change color

and puzzle the predators

seeking to eat it.

He made the flowers

to feed the bees

and decorate the plants,

to join in growing seeds for eating

and planting.

New plants next year

from last year’s party decorations,

so all the earth

is beautiful.
